ITB Consulting

The developer of the BT-BASE

ITB Consulting was founded forty years ago as the Institut für Test- und Begabungsforschung (Institute for Test Development and Talent Research). ITB looks back on many years of experience in the development of a wide range of tests for determining talents, abilities and potentials. For decades, universities in Germany and abroad have been using ITB tests for the selection of applicants. These tests are also employed as a means of advising school pupils on university study options. Apart from the BT-BASE, ITB develops – for example – the Test für medizinische Studiengänge (TMS), the Bucerius Law School selection procedure, the admissions test for the Universität Sankt Gallen and – in cooperation with the Gesellschaft für akademische Studienvorbereitung und Testentwicklung – the Test for Academic Studies (TestAS) for applicants from outside Europe. Some 30,000 applicants take ITB admission tests every year.
